Low Cost Pet Vet’s Outpatient Team
Our veterinary outpatient team sees pets for everything from itchy skin to heartworm disease. You’ll find them helping our clients on the phone, taking care of pets in exams, and providing care in our treatment area.
Veterinarians
Dr Rodney Munsell, Practice Owner
Dr. Rod Munsell grew up in south Texas outside the town of Falfurrias, just north of the Rio Grande Valley. During this time, he worked many agricultural jobs including ranch work, veterinary clinics, farm labor (watermelon stacking, cucumber picking, grain shoveling, cotton stomping, hay hauling) and even work as an oil field floor hand.
After high school graduation, Dr Munsell was accepted to and attended Texas A&M University where he earned a degree in Animal Science and learned a lot of Aggie jokes. Dr. Munsell was accepted to the College of Veterinary Medicine and earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1989. Along the way, he met the most beautiful and lovely girl, way out of his redneck league, but Karen would later be his amazing wife.
In August 2018, he opened Low Cost Pet Vet, guided by the core values and principles of treating people with respect, keeping prices low, providing convenient and friendly service, and reaching out to the underserved Hispanic community.
Dr. Munsell Lives with his wife Dr. Karen Munsell, and two adult children, Rebekah and Jed, two dogs (Mo and Sadie) and two cats (Grey Man and Liberty) in Euless TX. The family has a few cattle and a horse on a small piece of land by Paradise TX.
Dr Terry Litsey, Senior Staff Veterinarian
Dr. Litsey is a Texas native, born and raised in Fort Worth. After high school, he moved to Baton Rouge, Louisiana to attend LSU. He studied in an undergraduate program for 2 years, then went directly to the LSU Veterinary program, where he graduated with his degree in the summer of 1988.
Dr Litsey has 35 years of experience in small animal medicine and surgery, and has a particular interest in dermatology and preventative care. Throughout his career, Dr Litsey has worked as an associate veterinarian as well as practice owner, and is now the senior staff veterinarian at Low Cost Pet Vet.
As a husband and father, Dr Litsey enjoys spending time with his family. He has been married to his wife April for 28 years, and they have three grown children together, one daughter and two sons. Dr Litsey is an avid consumer of the arts, and his favorite activities (outside of providing outstanding care to our furry friends at Low Cost Pet Vet) are enjoying the local music and theater scene in the DFW area.
Front Desk Team
Our front desk team greets our clients with friendly smiles and excellent customer service. All of our team are bilingual, and can answer your questions in both Spanish and English. They’re the face of our practice, and we’re proud to have an amazing team!
Outpatient Technician Team
Our outpatient technician team sees dogs and cats for exams. They’re a vital part of our practice, providing initial care to the pets we see and working with clients to make sure our veterinarians have all the information they need to provide the best care possible. Our technicians also provide care under veterinarian’s direction, performing everything from routine labwork to administering medications and discussing care plans with clients.

Low Cost Pet Vet’s dedicated surgery team focuses on providing high quality, affordable surgical care to our patients. We provide routine surgeries such as spays, neuters, and dentals throughout the week; as well as more involved surgeries such as orthopedic surgery and tumor removal. Our surgery team allows us to provide exceptional surgical care at affordable prices.
Veterinarians
Dr Grant Gosch, Surgery Veterinarian
Dr Grant Gosch grew up on the family cow/calf ranch in north central South Dakota. It was during this time his interest in veterinary medicine began to grow. Helping on the ranch, raising and showing 4-H
livestock, he pretty much grew up with animals.
After finishing 3 years of undergraduate studies, he was accepted to the
Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine. During his time at the college of veterinary
medicine, Dr Gosch gained experience in the wide range of options offered by the veterinary profession.
He got exposure to equine sports medicine, food animal and small animal medicine and surgery along
with a summer spent in a research setting at the Nation Animal Disease Center.
He started working with the Low Cost Pet Vaccinations clinics in 2020 and used his interest and experience in surgery to join the staff at the Low Cost Pet Vet performing surgeries beginning in the fall of 2020.
Dr Gosch lives with his wife and two children in McKinney TX. With two young children most of his spare time is taken up but doesn’t shy away from a challenge. He has his private pilot license, enjoys physical fitness activities, and tries to get back to South Dakota to help with the family ranch when time allows.
Surgery Technician Team
Our surgery technician team preps patients for surgery, monitors pets under anesthesia, and assists the veterinarians to provide excellent care.
